DURCH DIE NACHT MIT … JULIE DELPY UND BELA B

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

“Durch die Nacht mit…” (”Across the night with …”) is a german tv format produced by the ZDF for “Arte” a german tv broadcaster. The concept of the show is as simple as brilliant: two artists (musicians, actors, comedians and so on) spent a night together in a certain city, go out in pubs, visit museums and so on and during this get accompanied by cameras.

Just accidentally came across this episode and really liked it. In this episode Bela B a german musician (drummer of the Band “Die Ärzte”) and Julie Delpy a french/american actor (you probably seen her in “Before Sunset” or “2 Day in Paris”, one of my favourite movies) meet each other in Paris, visit a comic store, a karaoke bar, a museum and other things ( the karoke thing actually kinda reminded me of “Lost in Translation”, don’t exactly know why …), share some time and have a lot of fun.

At the beginning Bela talks in german, but that’s only for the first minutes as Julie doesn’t speak german. The concept of the show is great and well, i hope to find some more episodes somewhere in the www so that i can share the best ones here on my blog.
